Introduction
The Election Issue Tracker monitors the resonance of party platform issues across leading print newspapers.
The purpose of the Issue Tracker is to chart the changing newspaper attention to political party issues over time. Issues are taken directly from political party platforms.
De Volkskrant, NRC Handelsblad and de Telegraaf are queried daily for the number of times each party's issues are mentioned.
The Issue Tracker counts articles. For example, if the issue appears three times in one article, the Issue Tracker counts it as one mentioning.
